Takeshi's Castle style job exams, NCR global conspiracies, private Investigator Jim Carey and lamp shopping

Starts off like a movie. I just got hired by some NCR official and we were being walked thru a very, very nice building to be taken to the higher levels.

As we waited for the lifts, some solemn faced businessmen walked by and our "guide" excitedly introduced one of them as the CEO/Executive of NCR. He had a mean face, completely white hair and looked like a typical bad guy in movies.

Sorta like him, but with more hair.

His expressionless face automatically turned into a friendly smile and welcomes us to NCR. He shows us some initiation rooms, where people get locked in and tested on random Takeshi's Castle style things like a fast closing see-through plastic door that slams shut from the top, electric room with arcs shooting from the wall, a massive brick slab falling from the ceiling and flipping towards the people from behind and they have to slide under it to get out.

Suddenly, my role was being played by Jim Carey and the view pans out to watch him. Carey was in his brown Truman suit, hired to be a private investigator by NCR to spy on other companies to watch for excessive information control and what sort of global policies they have and check for corruption.

Once he started working, he was looking into all these media companies like radio stations, printed news, television and daily news and even large electronic brands (like Sony and Samsung).

He found out that all the smaller organisations were owned by several larger organisations, who were then run by a few men under the guise of massive umbrella corporations.

Carey eventually he realises that one of these men was the white haired guy NCR CEO and that his company that had much control of the world.

He decided to ask the CEO directly. For some reason they were climbing the ladder ranks of a massive pointy tower (like the Eiffel or Tokyo tower). When Carey arrived the CEO was already above him on the ladder.

When he saw Carey he started ranting. "You're investigating the wrong side son. Keep your nose out of that business. You're supposed to be looking into our competitors and countries we DON'T have influence over! Like Japan or Korea. If Korea aren't happy with the deal I can BUY for them North Korea. We've got control of most of the Western world and we can already get the dumb masses of people to think what we want them to."

Carey then reveals that he's holding a handheld camera and we're shown that it's been watched live on TV stations by everyone in the country, even homeless people watching the broadcast at electronic store fronts.

The white haired CEO's face drains of expression and the scene cuts out to see Jim Carey walking along the highway, tired and drained of energy and his clothes were all wrecked.

Apparently the CEO killed himself and all the companies under his control had slumped in stocks. Carey took a look at one of the electronic stores on the side of the highway and it happened to be one of those brands the CEO owned.

Everything was being liquidated and people were rushing in to grab as many TVs as they could.

At this point, Jet/Thi ran in and they asked me to come along. I then realised why people took so many TVs. It was because the TVs on sale for $2, including radios, DVD and Blu-ray players.

Nothing much appealed to me, but I saw 2 really nice lamps. Both were a light marbled orange-white colour, but one was much taller than the other. I had trouble deciding, so I asked Thi which was better.

Graham puts a bunch of flowers into the taller lamp and turns it on. Water starts flowing out, but the tall flowers made the lamp tip over to one side. He said "Get the smaller one, it looks better and stands up properly."

That's when I woke up early at 610am. Lucky me. Gotta stop reading Wikipedia entries about large media organisations.
